We are a family owned exotic poultry farm based in Georgia, and for us, raising rare fowl is not a side project. It is our passion, our livelihood, and our life's work. Our Story
Rare Fowl Farm was founded in 2012 by Marcus Henderson after years of frustration finding quality sources for genuinely rare poultry breeds. What started as a personal flock of 30 birds quickly grew into a full breeding program as word spread among fellow enthusiasts and collectors.
We are proud to be a multigenerational family operation. Every bird on our property is handled with care from hatch to shipment. We have poured countless hours into sourcing and refining bloodlines that you simply cannot find at your local feed store and that commitment has made us one of the most trusted names in rare poultry for sale in the country.
Our roots are in Georgia and North Carolina, but our customer base stretches coast to coast. We have shipped birds to backyard hobbyists, serious breeders, small farms, and wildlife educators and we treat every order with the same level of care we give our own flock.

Ocellated Turkeys One of the rarest turkey species in private aviculture. We maintain a carefully managed flock and are one of the few dedicated ocellated turkey breeders operating in the United States.
Shamo Chickens A true Shamo chicken breeder focuses on structure, temperament, and type. Our Shamo lines are selected for correct breed standard.
Ayam Cemani The all-black bird prized for its striking, uniform pigmentation. Our Ayam Cemani flock is sourced from verified bloodlines.
Gamefowl Breeds As an established gamefowl breeder, we maintain several historic and sought-after lines including Albany gamefowl, Miner Blue gamefowl, and white hackle roosters.
Golden Pheasant Brilliant plumage and a calm disposition make these a favorite among ornamental bird keepers. We offer both chicks and adult breeding pairs when available.

Genetic integrity. We source our foundation stock carefully and track bloodlines across generations. We do not mix lines carelessly, and we cull for type, health, and temperament.
Animal welfare first. Our birds live in spacious, species-appropriate housing with access to the conditions they need to thrive. Enrichment, diet, and low-stress handling are non-negotiable parts of our daily routine.
Biosecurity as a standard. We maintain strict biosecurity protocols across our entire property. New birds entering our farm undergo quarantine, and we regularly work with our avian veterinarian to monitor flock health.
